Salt and Minerals

Supplementing livestock with salt is essential for optimal weight gain, milk production and overall health. The Co-op stocks a variety of salt in the form of blocks or loose with each type containing specific minerals to balance the needs of each animal based on his needs due to physiological or environmental conditions.

Common formulas are white, iodized, trace mineral, trace mineral w/selenium, and less common are cobalt and sulfur. Please visit for additional information on loose and blocked salt.
