What pellet should I buy?

Your stove manufacturer should have a list of pellet recommendations.
Expect longer pellets to burn for longer periods of time and shorter pellets to put off more heat.
Get to know your stove - A combination of pellet brand, size, and stove settings will give you the cleanest burn and most efficency.

Handling and storage

When carrying and storing pellets, handle the bags carefully and keep them as dry as possible. A pellet stove will burn most effectively when it's using dry and intact pellets.

Thinking about buying a pellet stove?

Researching the proper size and brand, and gathering tips for the location in your house before making a purchase is well worth your time. The EPA BTU list is considered a more accurate source than manufacturer specs for heat output numbers https://www.epa.gov/compliance/list-epa-certified-wood-stoves Be sure to research and buy the proper size. A small stove may not provide enough warmth, but too big a stove will burn more pellets than needed, or if used at a low burn, accumulate more particles.
